Roger Braimon is a visual artist working in Provincetown, MA and New York City, NY.
Roger’s art combines spontaneity and whimsy with meticulous detail, integrating impression with representation. His unconventional style of combining isolated and blurred strokes of color maintains a breathing space for light and air.
After receiving his BFA in printmaking and photography from Cornell University and MFA in painting from University of Pennsylvania, Roger worked as a fashion textile colorist in NYC’s Garment District where he created original patterns and color harmonies, honing painting skills evident in his current work. His artist collaboration with Baked,NYC featured representations of his original watercolors on bespoke keepsake boxes, sold exclusively in Japan. In 2009, he was selected for a live-work residency at the landmarked Westbeth Artists Housing in the West Village neighborhood in NYC.
